We are pleased to announce that this year, the Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam has partnered with ROOM FOR CHANGE as its official Charity Partner.
ROOM FOR CHANGE is a social responsibility initiative that harnesses the power of hospitality to create a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals who are temporarily unhoused. Since its inception in 2021, 71 change making hotels have supported 180 people in rebuilding their lives.
ROOM FOR CHANGE is a key program of the non-profit organisation The Present, which encourages hotels to open one or more rooms for individuals facing temporary homelessness. A stay of 3–6 months helps participants transition from survival to thriving, with support from local social partners who assist in securing housing and employment where needed.
In addition to the profound impact it has on individuals, participating in this initiative offers several benefits to your hotel, including:

Suzanne Glorie, Programme Manager, Room For Change, will be present at IHA25 and is speaking in the session 'Opening Doors: How Hotels Can Harness Hospitality to Support Those People Temporarily Without Shelter' on Tuesday 12 March at the Social Business Space, designed by King Kongs.
