Erik van Dijk, director of the Environmental Safety, Safety and Quality (KMVK) Foundation since 2008, has pledged his heart to the Dutch coast for 32 years. The social geographer and educational man (he once wanted to become a geography teacher) works with the 'Blue Flag' quality marks and with 'Green Key' on sustainable and climate-neutral recreation on the Dutch beaches.
