In 2018, Stef brought this vision to life by designing the concept and interior for Hotel The Craftsmen, located in a 16th-century building along Amsterdam's Singel canal. The hotel features 13 unique rooms, each representing a different craft. Each room serves as a tribute to traditional craftsmanship, with bespoke furniture and lighting that exemplify Stef’s philosophy of upcycling and reinterpreting history. Hotel The Craftsmen quickly gained recognition, winning the 2021 Entrée Award for Best Boutique Hotel of the Netherlands and the 2022 Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Award.
Following the success of Hotel The Craftsmen, Stef was commissioned to create Hotel The Noblemen, a luxury hotel inspired by Amsterdam’s Golden Age. Opened in 2021, Hotel The Noblemen features 12 rooms, each named after and designed to represent a nobleman from the Golden Age. Styled in the grandeur of the 16th century with the comfort and amenities of the present. Hotel the Noblemen was listed the Best of Best winner from Tripadvisor in 2024.
