Hotels for Trees, launched in 2021, is an initiative that empowers hotels to contribute to a greener future. By simply offering guests the option to skip daily room cleaning, each choice results in one tree being planted to support global reforestation efforts.
Guests can track the positive impact of their decision in real time on the Hotels for Trees website, reinforcing their role in supporting eco-friendly projects worldwide. Best of all, participation is voluntary, allowing guests to decide whether they want to make a difference with no extra effort.
For hotels, Hotels for Trees offers an easy-to-implement, cost-free way to reduce operational costs while enhancing their ESG credentials. There are no upfront fees or ongoing obligations, and the program helps elevate your hotel’s commitment to sustainability.
Currently, more than 250 hotels in 35 countries are part of the movement, with over 520,000 trees planted. The goal is to plant one million trees annually by 2026, making a tangible and lasting impact on the planet.
